About Yachats Inn

The Yachats Inn has been family-owned and operated since the 1950s, occupying a stretch of oceanfront property in the heart of Yachats, one of the most consistently praised small towns on the Oregon coast. The 4.4-acre property is arranged to give every guest an ocean view, along with an indoor heated pool and a hot tub, both with direct sightlines to the Pacific. Room options range from original standard rooms to front suites with full kitchens and wood-burning fireplaces, to newer kitchen suites with gas fireplaces. A community room with a piano and family play space is available to all guests. Cape Perpetua and Thor's Well are less than two miles away.

What Yachats Inn Is Known For

An indoor heated pool and 10-person hot tub with direct ocean views is genuinely rare on the Oregon coast. Most properties this close to the water use outdoor pools or none at all. The Yachats Inn's indoor setup means the experience holds in any weather, which on the central Oregon coast is not a small thing.

What Guests Love

  • The indoor heated pool and 10-person hot tub both face the Pacific. Rain or shine, guests can soak with an ocean view, which very few Oregon coast properties offer.
  • Every room faces the ocean on 4.4 acres of dedicated oceanfront property.
  • Full kitchen suites make multi-night stays practical without eating out for every meal.
  • The property is family-owned and operated, and guest reviews consistently mention staff warmth and responsiveness.
  • Cape Perpetua, Thor's Well, and the Captain Cook Trail tidepools are less than two miles from the front door.

Worth Knowing

  • WiFi can be spotty in some rooms, particularly in the original wing. If reliable connectivity matters, ask about room options in the newer section when booking.
  • Kitchen appliance issues in some units have been noted in occasional reviews. Contact the property to confirm the kitchen is fully functional before a stay where cooking is part of the plan.
  • The standard rooms in the original wing are clean and comfortable but not distinctively designed. If room character matters as much as ocean views, the kitchen suites in the newer section are worth the step up.
  • Pets are welcome. Contact the property before booking to confirm current pet policies and availability of pet-friendly rooms.

The Room

Standard rooms have two queen or king beds with ocean views and basic furnishings. Front suites step up considerably: full kitchens, wood-burning fireplaces, and ocean views from larger living areas. Newer kitchen suites offer the same full kitchen setup with gas fireplaces. All rooms have in-room coffee makers. The community room includes a piano, play area for families, and a full communal kitchen.

The Grounds

Four and a half oceanfront acres extend from the inn to the Oregon coast. A path leads from the property to the beach. The indoor pool, heated to 85 degrees, and the 10-person hot tub at 104 degrees, both have windows framing the ocean. Free parking is available on-site. The property occupies the south end of Yachats, with the town center a short walk north.

The Experience

The indoor pool at the Yachats Inn might be the most honest reason to book it: watching the Pacific from warm water while rain sheets down the windows is a specific Oregon coast experience. Multi-day stays work well here because the kitchen suites let guests cook rather than eat out for every meal. Yachats has several excellent restaurants within walking distance. Cape Perpetua, Thor's Well, and the Sitka spruce forest are two miles south for days when the weather cooperates.
