Scheible's Fish Camp occupied the site for decades, a no-frills encampment for anglers who came for the stripers and blues at the confluence of the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay. When Peggy Binzel and Cathy Austin purchased the property in 2019, they kept the footprint and changed everything else: cathedral ceilings with exposed beams, organic cotton linens, rooms individually themed around specific references. The 450-foot pier extends into the water. The restaurant is the heart of it: Chef Carlos running a scratch kitchen with pasta, bread, and desserts made in-house.
