Blodgett Canyon is a slot canyon cut into the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness by Blodgett Creek, 5 miles west of Hamilton. The canyon walls rise 1,000 feet on both sides within the first half mile. The trail follows the creek into the wilderness for 10 miles; the canyon entrance alone is worth the drive. One of the most dramatic canyon approaches in the northern Rockies.
